Body Sculpting - Cavitation RF Freqency Vacuum Treatment

A Safe, Highly Effective, Non-Surgical Alternative to Liposuction.

This revolutionary technology combines ultrasound, radio frequency and vacuum therapy for a highly potent body sculpting treatment.  It is an easy and highly effective non-surgical alternative for liposuction resulting in a loss of centimeters. Ultrasound accurately targets fat and cellulite, transmitting powerful sound energy pulses into the fat. This damages the fat cells, causing them to shrink. Radio frequency uses energy to heat the deeper layers of tissue, reducing the size of the fat cells, promoting collagen production and increasing blood flow. Vacuum therapy improves blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, smoothes the underlyng fat layers and increases elasticity. All three modalities work synergistically for effective fat removal, cellulite reduction, body shaping, and skin tightenin

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Ultrasonic actually mean?

Ultrasonic refers to sound frequency. An Ultrasonic Cavitation handpiece will make a sound we cannot hear while it is vibrating. We measure the vibration times per second as sound frequency, and refer to this as Hertz. Humans can hear from 20 hertz to 20,000 hertz. We are unable to hear anything above or below these levels. Therefore, soundwaves with frequency above 20,000 hertz we call Ultrasonic. Eastetic cavitation is at 40khz - A Megahertz is 1,000,000 hertz; we refer to as MHz. Usually an ultrasonic frequency of 1MHz to 5MHz is used for various medical treatments. The lower the megahertz the stronger the treatment. It is highly penetrative and directional.

The vibration of ion (positive and negative alternation of sound waves) produces a strong wave of pressure to fat cell membranes. Usually a fat cell membrane cannot withstand this pressure, it will explode into the liquid content. This liquid product leaves the body through the normal channels of the body’s metabolism.

Ultrasonic Cavitation results are due to the quantity of fat cells being destroyed and removed from the body’s environment for fat storage.

Cavitation Theory

Ultrasonic cavitation technology enables concentrated sonic energy to be directed only at localised treatment areas, and is thus capable of selectively disrupting the subcutaneous fat cells through thousands of microscopic implosions impacting the fat cell membranes. After breakdown of adipose tissue (fat cell membrane), the fat is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatically metabolised to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water-soluble glycerol travels into the circulatory system used for new energy generation whereas the insoluble free fatty acids enter the liver where they are decomposed like any other simple fatty acid.

Radio Frequency Theory

Radio Frequency can be delivered in either or a combination of three modes; Monopolar, Tripolar or Bipolar.  Each mode uses a specific electrode that delivers energy in different patterns and at different depths for selective treatment of skin and fat.  The radio frequency assists in the metabolism of large fat granules previously ruptured by the cavitation treatment, forcing the excretion of triglycerides and skin tightening.

The dermis and subcutaneous layer are heated simultaneously forcing collagen fibres to contract. The contracting fibres pull and tighten the skin, creating an immediate effect. Fibroblasts’ metabolism increases, producing new collagen fibres leaving a long term effect.

Most of the RF energy enters into the deeper dermal layer, causing the dermal layer of skin to thicken, decreasing wrinkle depth, leaving the skin firmer with contour lifted.

The original collagen protein becomes strengthened to increase the new collagen protein as a result of the radio frequency stimulating the skin.

 Specifically, these currents:

  1. Immediately shorten the existing collagen fibres, thereby offering an immediate skin tightening/lifting effect.
  2. Stimulate the fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin fibres, thereby offering a separate skin tightening effect.
  3. Stimulate the adipocytes to release fat into the bloodstream and physically damage a number of them (adipocytes are very “fragile” cells, in comparison to fibroblasts or other tissue cells).

Action of Vac+ Cavitation + Radio Frequency Skin Tightening
By using Ultrasound, high-frequency RF and vacuum technologies combined, direct access is significantly increased to the deeper fat cells, bringing fat cells to a fast-active state from the ultrasonic waves and production of localised heat, so that effective blood circulation occurs.

This increased localised blood circulation within the dermis tightens sagging or loose aging skin. Your skin will have its elasticity improved aided by an increased metabolic activity. Then with the aid of the vacuum, the sweat glands and lymphatic system the excess fat and toxins are excreted out of the body. This vaccum suction further dissolves fat cells, strengthens the integrity of cells mitochondria, enhancing blood and lymph circulation with metabolism benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do I need to do before a treatment?

  • Three days before beginning treatments clients are advised to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. This is so that the Ultrasound and Radio Frequency waves can target water molecules under the skins surface and so the more that are available the more successful the treatment will be. It is also advisable to do the same for 3 days after the treatment.
  • Follow a low fat, moderate protein, low glycemic diet.
  • Do some soft exercise (for instance 20 minutes walk). Especially after the treatment to stimulate the lymphatic and urinary systems. Otherwise the fat can get staged again in the same area. It can take two or three days to see real results from a treatment.
  • Keep your skin hydrated and moisturised.
  • No tanning.
  • No hot shower (warm is ok), bath or sauna after the Ultrasound treatment.

Q: What happens during treatment?
A. The treatment is fairly relaxing and pain free. First, an in depth consultation will take place during which a treatment plan will be discussed and tailored to your own specific needs. We will record your measurements required and ask the you to sit or lie down depending on what area is to be treated.

The area to be treated is discreetly exposed and gel is applied. The ultrasound hand piece is then systematically moved over the area you wish to contour and/or smooth by liquifying fat cells. Then the radio frequency hand piece is slowly rotated over the target area transmitting radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, heating the dermis to between 40-45 degrees celsius without burning the skins surface. Your skin will feel increasingly warm in the treated area, but not usually uncomfortably so. It is important to let the us know if the treatment is becoming uncomfortable so that we can move on to another area. used to massage the area to heat and tighten the skin.

The vacuum hand piece is then used to increase blood circulation through the area and facilitate lymphatic drainage. Your measurements will be retaken and results recorded. Using Ultrasonic cavitation combined with radio frequency and vacuuming reduces fat cells, rejuvenates and tightens any loose skin.

Q: What should I do after the treatment to achieve the best results?

  • Drink at least 2 liters of water for up to 3 days after treatment.
  • Refrain from any alcohol consumption for 2 – 3 days following your treatments. Alcohol can prevent your liver from working to remove fats as it will make alcohol metabolism its priority before fat removal and could hinder your results. Alcohol is treated like sugar and your body will convert it into fat.
  • No tanning during your treatment program. If you must tan, please do not do so for at least three days prior to your Ultrasound & RF sessions. Tanning may cause you to become overly sensitive to the Ultrasound and RF frequencies. If this is the case, your treatment may have to be suspended.
  • Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized

Q: In which areas is the treatment most effective?
A: The abdomen, thighs, flanks [saddlebags], hips [love handles] and buttocks are the most commonly treated areas.

Q: What can I expect from the results?
A: The treatment improves the look and feel of both the deep and superficial skin layers by rejuvenating skin, reducing cellulite and contouring the body. The treatment is safe, effective, and non-invasive. Most clients experience a reduction in circumference after the first session, with increasing results after each visit but especially after the third treatment and onward. The results may vary from person to person with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results. Results will continue to improve for several weeks following the last treatment session. You will continue to metabolize fat for up to twelve weeks which means that, as most people do not make new fat cells in later life, the loss can be permanent. This procedure will also leave you with firmer, smoother looking skin than before, due to the inclusion of Radio Frequency Therapy which encourages the fibroblasts within the skin to produce collagen.

Q: How long is each treatment?
A: Treatments can range from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the body area treated.

Q: Is there a recovery period?
A: No down time is required after treatment. Patients can return to work or other activities immediately. In rare cases, mild discomfort or swelling occur.

Q: Are there any risks associated with this treatment?
A: This therapy is non-invasive, there are few real risks associated with it as long as there are no contraindications. Occasionally patients may experience some discomfort or swelling, which is easily managed.

Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: Patients can see results after the first treatment. However most patients produce the best results after 4/6 to 12 sessions. This depends on body mass and circumference size, age, hormonal balance, medications and your desired goals. Incorporating the eating suggestions included in your program will reduce the number of treatments that may be needed. During your consultation, we will suggest the appropriate number of treatments you will need for optimal results.  Maintenance treatments every 6 months is also recommended.

Q: Are the treatments affordable?
A: The cost of the treatment depends on the size of area or areas treated. Smaller areas requiring less time will be less cost than larger areas. After your consultation, we will determine the amount of treatments required and the cost. The treatment is comparable to other cellulite and skin toning treatments available. Our goal is to make treatments affordable and for you to see results.

Q: Any different result for different people?
A: Yes, generally speaking, oily skin will have better results than dry skin. Dry skin has less water molecules for the the ultrasound and radio frequency waves to work with, it is less elastic and more fragile, so keeping the skin moistured and hydrated is advised before treatment.

Q: Could customers do IPL and RF together?
A: It is better to do RF after 7 days of IPL treatment.

Q: Why do you advise women patients to NOT take Ultrasonic RF treatment during menstruation?
A: During menstruation your body may be more sensitive to the treatment.

Q. Can it remove stretch marks?
A: RF treatment will not remove stretchmarks, but it will minimize it. The RF energy helps rebuild the broken and old collagen and improve the surrounding and lighten the pigmentations.

Q: What are the contraindications?

  • Individuals with acute or contagious disease or skin conditions, wounds or sores.
  • Autoimmune diseases, HIV or AIDS.
  • A history of cancer, kidney failure, liver failure or fatty liver.
  • Heart disease, implant devices such as pacemakers or electrical prosthesis
  • Individuals with epilepsy or MS.
  • Pregnancy and breast feeding.
  • Anyone who has had a surgical procedure in the target area within the past 6 months
  • During menstruation.
  • Thyroid disease and other hormonal disorders.
  • High blood pressure or circulation problems.
  • Cancer.
  • Asthma.
  • Deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, epilepsy.
  • Haemorrhagic disease,  trauma,  vascular rupture.
  • Intrauterine device avoid abdomen.
  • Treatment with anti-inflammatories, anticoagulants, antibiotics.

NOTE: The procedure is not a miracle worker and is not for people who want to get rid of a lot of excess body fat (obese). Instead, it is for those who have isolated areas of extra fat that are not helped by diet and exercise. It is not like liposuction, which can remove a great deal of fat. But it is perfect for patients who have no desire for surgery, but are looking for modest reductions in their problem areas.
